Jabberween

Friday, October 31st, 2003

Tonight is (what I hope will become) The 1st annual Jabberwocky Halloween Extravaganza. This being the first year, it will, understandably I think, not be all that extravagant. However, costumes will be worn, approximately 45 minutes of music will be played, and, most likely, and an abundance of beer will be purchased and consumed.
I’m a little worried about the show, actually, because we don’t know if anyone’s showing up. We only just found out about it 2 weeks ago, and by that point, most everybody we know already had plans for Halloween. I myself plan on heading out to a $5 kegger as soon as I leave the show.
We don’t have a very consistent history of getting people out to 4th St Station for shows. I keep having visions of the Saturday show from 1-2-03 where maybe 4 people showed up. Oy.
But then, we were the only band that night. This time, it’s Halloween, and there’s 2 other bands playing after us.

“Hey, pretend it’s a basement party, but we’re upstairs. Have a good time.”

Please note: if you don’t grow pubes by age 14, we will not pay to get that looked at.

Steal This Movie

Thursday, October 30th, 2003

he other day I saw part of “Steal This Movie” on the Independent Film Channel. It had the guy from Law & Order: Criminal Intent playing Abby Hoffman, the quintessential hippy.
