Since starting with the blogger system.

I’ve officially been working at my ‘new’ job for an entire year as of yesterday. Now there’s a year that flew by really fast!
As crappy as all that stuff that went down in May of last year was… I think it was all for the better. I’m certainly a lot happier now that I was in February last year. Not to mention far better off financially.Life is good. :^)

A new feature!

If you’ll look to the menu on the left, you’ll notice a little link labeled ‘itunes’. If you click that link, you’re more bored than you look. What you’ll find is a list of the 25 most recent songs played in iTunes on my home computer. As long as I keep that program running, it will keep that list updated. I don’t have to do a damn thing!!
So now you can know more about my musical habits that you ever wanted!!! Woo-hoo!!!

I have discovered something knew in the world of beer-drinking today.
I’ll back up and say I went to the Park Tavern a couple weeks ago. It was there that I saw a sign. The sign related to Leinenkugel’s beer. Particularly, it referred to two of their most popular beers, Berryweiss and Honeyweiss. The signed portrayed a pitcher. Being poured into the pitcher were the two beers. Inside the pitcher was a mixture, a ‘cocktail’ if you will, consisting of beer! Two kinds of beer! Mixed into one beer!
Mind you, I’m not particularly fond of Berryweiss. I find it to be too sharp, and the berry flavor too obvious. However, I have found that, as the sign suggested, if combined with Honeyweiss (Leinenkugel’s tastiest beverage, in my opinion (damn opinions!)), it creates what may be the finest berry-flavored drink ever conceived.
I’m overstating my point, of course. I do this because I found the combination to be quite tasty, and it surprised me.
In fact, I’m drinking it right now. ;^D

I feel I should speak of the show, Alias.
I first heard of this show through random channel flipping sometime a couple years ago. The first memory I have of the show is being at Ben & Kerry’s house and Kerry expressing her general displeasure towards Jennifer Garner. We had recently seen Daredevil, and Kerry was (understandably, in my opinion) not happy with Jennifer Garner at that point. More to the point, she was downright hostile towards Jennifer Garner.
At any rate, I agreed, simply because sometimes it’s best to just agree with the woman in the room.
I thought very little of the show until I moved in with my sister. I found out at that time that it was my sister’s favorite show ever. I love my sister, but we have very little in common, so again, I thought very little of it.
Then along came Meghan. Meghan loved the show and encouraged me to watch it, thinking I might enjoy it. I liked Meghan, and was inclined to take any suggestion from her with a very open mind. So I agreed to watch it, initially thinking that any show starring a hot chick (even one who I’d previously born an unwarranted bias against) was worth a shot.
So I borrowed the first season from her, and, after the first two episodes, found it very difficult to stop watching.
It is one of the most engaging shows I’ve ever seen, and, in this case, I am not overstating my point.
While it is true that some of smaller points of the plot are slightly predictable, the first two seasons will surprise anyone who thinks they know how television shows should plot out*.
At this point, I’m less than halfway through the most current season, and I’m still having a hard time coping with the plot twist at the end of the second season.
I encourage anyone to watch the show; you won’t be disappointed.

Now I’m going to watch Dawn Of The Dead, assuming it’s not in Russian.

*that’s an awkward phrase, I know. I’m having a hard time trying to stay focused with all this BerryHoneyweiss flowing through my arteries (Hah! I bet you thought I’d say ‘veins!’)
