So I randomly downloaded this movie the other day based on the poster and Wikipedia synopsis:
“]![Bart Got A Room The film chronicles nerdy high school senior Danny Stein (Kaplan) and his unsuccessful attempts to secure a prom date while his divorced father and mother (played by Macy and Hines respectively) are on their own unsuccessful quests to find love. The films name comes from the fact that the schools biggest dweeb, Bart Beeber (Williams) not only secured a date for the prom, but got a hotel room after as well. This is a source of tremendous great anxiety for both Danny and his family. [1]](http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/9/93/Bart_got_a_room.jpg)
That synopsis is astoundingly accurate. I sort of expected the movie to be somewhat similiar to American Pie, but as it turns out, it’s much much more tame. Which isn’t to say it’s a bad movie… it’s actually pretty good. Although, the main point of the movie seems to be about being a good Jew. At the end, the kid decides to go to a barmitzvah with his parents rather than go to the prom.
