I don’t watch a lot of television.

Well, I watch a lot of television shows… i.e. Mystery Science Theater 3000… but, I don’t sit down and watch television (you know, the kind you watch on a TV, via cable, antenna, satellite dish or whatever) hardly ever.
At least… I hadn’t for the last 5 months or so.
Last night, I sat down and watched a solid 5 hours of TV for the first time in a long time.
The results follow.

The Simpsons
I go back in forth in my opinion on whether the Simpsons should call it quits or not. Everytime I watch a new episode when it’s new on TV, it disappoints me.
For some reason, though, if I watch the same episode months later, it seems hilarious. That’s weird. I don’t remember which episode was on last night. But I remember it was funny.

Extreme Makeover: Home Edition
This show just rocks.
And I’m aware that an odd thing for a guy to say about a home improvement show, but Ty Peddington is hilarious, and this show actually does good charitable work, besides just being entertaining.

The Days
I’d never heard of this show before yesterday. It’s a nice family drama. Nothing to edgy about it; nothing groundbreaking; nothing new. But it’s well-done and entertaining.

E.R.
I found a re-run of E.R. on somewhere from back in the days when George Clooney was still on the show. I always enjoy E.R. when I see it, but not enough that I feel the need to watch it every week.

The West Wing
Also a re-run; this show is awesome. This is a show that I’d like to watch every week, but my life isn’t so ordered and routine that I can consistently be home the same night of any given week. (although Wednesdays & Sundays are a good bet)

Did I have a point? No.
It felt good to watch TV, and it served as a good primer for testing out my new furniture arrangement.
I like it.
